We sadly have to say that Sensei Phil, age 62, has passed away on monday morning 18-Aug-08.

The Center gives its deepest condolences to Sensei Phil's family and his faithful students.

We advise that Bahrain Karate Center will be close during the Prophet Birth Day.

The Center will be closed on 20th Mar 2008. All classes will recommence as per our normal schedule on 23rd Mar 2008.

We advise that Bahrain Karate Center will be close during the Eid holidays.

1st Bahrain Karate Center Tournament.

Bahrain Karate Center held its 1st tournament for junior students. Around 24 students from different grades participated in this tournament. We had grades from Purple belts to 1st degree black belts.

All the students performed unexpectedly well. The tournament consisted from Ippon Kumite and Jyu Ippon Kumite (Free Style), and not to forget Kata also. In this tournament, everybody had to do both Kata and Kumite.

All the participants received appreciation certificate for their great performance both in Kata and Kumite.

Bahrain Karate Center will be holding its second special weekend training on 16th
of March 2007.

This session will be conducted my Sensei Philip Dutton 7th Dan, Chief Instructor of

Bahrain Karate Center and Technical Advisor for British Martial Arts Association.

This training will be held in Awali Fitness Hall early morning from 09:30 am till 13:00.

Bahrain Martial Arts Association Championships.

Bahrain Martial Arts Association held tournament for two days, 9^th and 10^th of

February 2007.

Bahrain Karate Center participated in junior division (Kata Only) of this tournament. Below are the results:

1st Place in individual kata for boys from 8 till 10 yrs of age. – Faisal Zainal (Tikki Shodan – Heian Yondan)

2^nd Place in individual kata for Girls from 10 yrs and Open – Fakhira Syed Qamar (Basia Dia – Heian Godan)

3^rd Place in individual Kata for Girls from 10 yrs and Open – Natasha Benkhudrah (Heian Nidan – Heian Godan)
